STONE WALL
Hello, Sian,
This is the image of a stone wall I will be using for my inspiration. It was taken in September, last year on a tript to Adelaide. We visited the ‘Immigration Museum’ which recorded the history of immigration to Australia. This was taken in a courtyard area.
Adelaide is known as the ‘City of Churches’, and many public buildings and private houses have had sandstone used in their construction. So I was very busy snapping away wherever we went!
I’ve chosen this particular image because of the variety of colours and unusual shapes. I love blue or grey greens, from aqua, turquoise, etc, so thought I would take the opportunity to use this colour in my sketchbook and samples.
I also like the old vent design, and think I could incorporate this in my sketchbook and samples in some way.
I didn’t take any closeups as I wasn’t sure which image I’d be using, so I will enlarge it on the photocopier.
I hope this is okay to use as my inspiration.
BLEACH PRINT
This piece was created using a foam print dipped in bleach on navy fabric, revealing an orange image.
